After completing the boutique hotels Rosas y Xocolate in
Merida and Casa Grande in Morelia the design team Reyes Rios + Larrain designed
the Mayazul houses for a young couple and their children from Mexico City. Mayazul and Mayazul II are independent
houses that adjoin and can be rented together with 5 bedrooms or
separately. They share a common
entrance and garage.
Mayazul has three bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. There is a fourth bathroom in the
portico near the pool. The house
has the perfect combination of indoor/outdoor seating and dining options as
well as a roof terrace that captures the cool breezes in the evenings.
Mayazul II has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. There is a small pool between the two
bedrooms at the end of the portico.
The living and dining areas are in the portico.
Both houses have fully equipped kitchens and air
conditioning in the bedrooms and kitchens. They are in the Mejorada neighborhood in the historic center
of Merida. The perfect house for
family reunion or a holiday with friends.
